Time to Play ‘Name That Park’

by Matt McGee on January 2nd, 2009. Filed under: Richland Life.

Richland has a new 117-acre park right along SR 240 out in the Horn Rapids area, and the Parks & Rec Commission wants the public to help choose a name for the park. How fun. :-) Here’s where it is:

Names on the ballot include:

  • Rattlesnake Mountain Sports Complex
  • Rattlesnake Mountain Community Park
  • Atomic Sports Complex (my favorite!)
  • Atomic Community Park
  • Hanford Legacy Sports Complex
  • Hanford Legacy Community Park

Visit the city’s web site for voting information. You can also vote in person at the community center or by leaving a message at 942-7533. The deadline for voting is February 1st.

The PRC will announce the name at its February 12th meeting.
