RSD Hosting School Funding Public Meetings
We’ve been talking about possible Richland School District budget cuts here on the Richland Real Estate Blog (see RSD Considering Athletics Budget Cuts and Richland School District Considering Budget Cuts), and now the whole district is being invited to talk about them.
With an expected loss of $3 million in state funding, RSD will host four public meetings next month that are described as a combination of information and input meetings. Here’s the schedule:
- Monday, May 4, 7:00 pm – Jefferson Elementary School, Parent Portable E
- Friday, May 8, 12:15 pm – Badger Mountain Elementary School, Library
- Monday, May 11, 5:30 pm – Enterprise Middle School, Library
- Monday, May 18, 6:30 pm – Richland High School, Room 1114
“Our taxpayers need to be involved in helping us prioritize program expenditures,” says Superintendent Jean Lane. “We encourage people to come and give us their ideas.”
