Richland City Fair 2008
Richland Gold Medalist Hope Solo made an appearance at the Richland City Fair 2008 today, which no doubt attracted a good-sized crowd to the event. I showed up about an hour later and was impressed by the amount of people still mulling around the city campus at Swift Blvd. and George Washington Way. The city had booths/tables setup for what looked like almost all of its departments, and staff were there to talk with residents, plus they had games and fun stuff for kids to do — like climb up into the various city vehicles.

The city’s waste management department offered up this helpful display for anyone who wasn’t sure how much trash is too much in a single can, with the bonus tip of how far apart to space multiple garbage cans:
I don’t know … I look at the can on the left, and I’m thinking, C’mon, you could still cram a few more branches in there. Try harder! Anyway, here are a few more photos from the event:
