Mark your calendars for the 27th, just a little more than two weeks away. That’s the date of Richland’s City Fair 2008, one of the events happening as part of Richland’s 50th anniversary this year. Here’s a preview of some of the events planned:

• CORKIE the Robot and Mr. Watt will greet visitors.
• CityView TV will host a live game show.
• The Richland Public Library Drill Team will perform at 11 a.m. and Noon.
• Several 1950s cars will be on display.
• The fire station will be open for tours.
• Richland City Council members and city staff will show city projects, equipment, programs and more.

The fair runs from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm on the Richland City Hall campus, at George Washington Way and Swift Boulevard. It’s free.

Also of note — a six-person delegation from Richland’s sister city of Hsinchu City, Taiwan, will be at the fair.
