Richland City Council OKs Dog Park Expansion
We detailed the proposed changes in this post a couple months ago. In a nutshell, the dog park would move to a different area of the park, it would have separate space for big dogs and small dogs, and lots of improved amenities for both dogs and us humans.
The city provided us this PDF of the Badger Mountain Community Park Master Plan with the changes included.
Of course, all of this costs money. Senior Park Planner Dave Bryant tells us that’s the next step:
Now fund raising can begin and staff will begin looking into what type of grants are available. Council express the desire for the community to come forward for a joint venture with the city to construct the dog park.
You can learn more about the community aspect by visiting the web site of the Tri-City Dog Park Society.
