Christmas treeReady to get rid of your Christmas tree? It’s only the 26th, so probably not. But Richland residents can recycle cut Christmas trees from today through January 9. Take your tree to any of these locations:

  • Richland Pool, 1005 Swift Boulevard
  • Badger Mountain Park, 350 Keene Road
  • Richland Landfill, State Route 240

The City says that all decorations must be removed prior to recycling. A flocked tree, which is 99% cellulose, is acceptable for recycling. Crews will chip trees and mulch will be available at the landfill beginning in late January.
