Richland Christmas Tree Lighting on Saturday
The City of Richland will light its Christmas trees and holiday decorations this Saturday at 4:00 pm in John Dam Plaza. The ceremony will be handled by Mayor John Fox, along with The Nutcracker and Clara — both from the Mid-Columbia Ballet’s production of The Nutcracker.
Richland’s Parks & Recreation Department along with several community partners will present “Winter Wonderland” in the Plaza from 3 to 6 p.m. It’s all free, and there will be refreshments, caroling and a visit by Santa Claus. Be on the lookout, too, for collection containers for Toys for Tots, Coats for Kids and the Uptown Shopping Center merchants’ canned food drive.
