PNNL hosts Craft Career Day
PNNL will host its first “Craft Career Day” this Thursday in Richland. The event is geared to encourage high school students to consider starting a career in craft trades. PNNL expects about 30 students to attend
The students will visit a working PNNL fabrication shop, where they will speak directly with PNNL machinists, carpenters and other craftspeople about their jobs, the products they create and the advanced tools they use
PNNL says one of the primary reasons for hosting this career day event is because of an expected shortage of skilled trade laborers coming into the workforce.
