Kadlec Announces Major Expansion in Richland

Kadlec Medical Center is getting bigger. They just announced a “major expansion” of the main hospital campus in Richland.
There are two main aspects of the expansion:
- Building out the top four floors of the new River Pavilion. This will add 101 beds to the facility over the next several years as our population grows.
- Building a new Neonatal ICU with the goal of becoming a “level three” ICU facility.
The River Pavilion Tower had its grand opening in May 2008, and even then the hospital planned to eventually fill the final four floors of the new tower. With the new stimulus money spurring growth in Richland, the hospital says the new beds will be needed to meet growing demand in the years to come.
And the Kadlec project itself is expected to mean about 150 construction jobs, and 400 new jobs at the hospital.
