The DOE plans to offer 60 tours of the Hanford nuclear reservaton this year, up from the 48 offered last year. Here’s a list of the scheduled tour dates:

• April 21st and 22nd
• May 6th, 7th, 19th, and 20th
• June 3rd, 4th, 16th and 17th
• July 15th, 16th, 28th and 29th
• August 12th, 13th, 25th and 26th
• September 15th and 16th

Registration will begin on March 30th, and you better act fast because these things are hot tickets. Last year, all 2,000 seats for the tours were taken on the first day of registration. This year’s tours are scheduled for 7:30 am, 9:30 am, and 11:30 am on the dates listed above. The only place to register for a spot is here:

A tour lasts about five hours. Oh, and they’re free. Last year, people from 34 states took part in the public tours.
