George Prout Pool Closing Soon for the Summer

We’ve talked about heading over to George Prout Pool for some swimming this summer, but as yet the McGee family has yet to follow through on that. And we’re running out of time to do it now: The poll will close for the summer on August 24. That’s less than three weeks away - yikes!

We were hanging out at the pool earlier this summer when the kids were there for swimming lessons. That’s when I took this photo:

If you’re a swimmer, here’s what you need to know about swimming at Prout Pool before August 24:

Session Hours

Monday-Thursday: 1:15 to 2:45 pm; 3:00 to 4:30 pm; 7:00 to 8:30 pm
Friday: 1:15 to 2:45 pm; 3:00 to 4:30 pm
Saturday: 1:00 to 2:30 pm; 2:45 - 4:15 pm; 4:30 to 6:00 pm; 6:15 to 7:45 pm
Sunday: 1:00 to 2:30 pm; 2:45 - 4:15 pm; 4:30 to 6:00 pm

Costs

Kids 17 and under: 50 cents for Richland residents; 75 cents for non-residents
Adults: $1.50 for Richland residents; $2.00 for non-residents
Family (up to 5 people): $3.50 for Richland residents; $4.50 for non-residents

George Prout Pool, in case you didn’t know, is located at 1005 Swift Blvd. in Richland.
