Earlier today I told a friend I went for a walk on the river and then, not wanting her to think I had a God complex, I amended it to a walk along the river! I could have stopped and taken more shots like this one, but then I wouldn’t have had any kind of workout. It was so peaceful and serene. There were a few joggers and recumbent bicyclists out, but it was mostly just me, walking quickly, listening to my iPod, and enjoying the natural beauty around me.

Hanford B Reactor Tour Photos

No, we didn’t go on a tour of the Hanford B Reactor (I’d like to some day), but a fellow Tri-Citian named Brian Manley did do the tour earlier this year. And he posted a bunch of photos on Flickr.

So, if you’re in the same boat as me — curious what it’s like, but still waiting for a chance to do the tour in person, have a look at Brian’s photos.

Stay Cool, Folks

I took this photo last Friday morning at the Richland Farmer’s Market, when it had to be 95 degrees already by 11:00 am. The weather folks are saying we’ll be at 100 degrees or above for the next 4-5 days at least, so stay cool … like this smart guy is doing.

Snowing Again in Richland

I was out at the Queensgate Target store tonight, and the snow started coming down pretty good just as I was leaving. It’s hard to see in this photo. (Didn’t have my regular camera, so it’s from the iPhone.)

Meanwhile, Richland School District has been opening schools two hours late every day this week, and will again tomorrow — unless the snow we’re getting now forces them to close schools altogether. Can’t say that would be a surprise.
