Richland pockets extra $168k from new sales tax law

The City of Richland says it received $168,751 in its first payment under a new state law that changes how retail sales taxes are distributed. Passed last year, Substitute Senate Bill 5089 redirects the sales tax on some purchases from one city to another. As the city explains:
